NHS chiefs quizzed by All Party Group

MPs and Peers in the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Muscular Dystrophy sought answers from regional health bosses in Parliament yesterday about their plans for service improvements for people with neuromuscular conditions.

Baroness Thomas of Winchester was joined by Parliamentary colleagues to question NHS Specialised Commissioning Group (SCG) representatives from the East Midlands, North West and Yorkshire and Humber regions on the progress of their reviews of neuromuscular services. The SCG representatives were pressed for answers on what action they are taking to fix the gaps in service provision and improve urgently access to specialist neuromuscular care.
